How to remove a tree stump

November 28th, 2007

We have all had the experience before: we cut down a tree and think that the experience is over, only to find a stubborn tree stump that will simply not go away. Figuring out how to remove a tree stump can be an arduous process. Many of us hire professional tree stump removers, but these professionals can charge way too much money. Because they have specialized knowledge, they can charge us hundreds of dollars for tree stump removal. If you are like me, you probably do not have the specialized equipment that they have. I have seen them come in with digging machines, big drills, power saws, stump gringers, chain saws and all kinds of other equipment. They make removing a tree stump look like putting a house. I decided that there had to be a simpler way to do the job, Read more…

My favorite hobby is house and garden

November 28th, 2007

There are so many things that we can do to fill our time. Through the years my hobbies have changed based on what stage in life I am in. When I was in high school I loved to sew. I made many of the clothes that I wore and I also sewed some clothing for my friends. I made many gifts using my mother’s sewing machine. When I was in college I did not have the time or the space to sew. I started playing racquetball to fill what spare time I had. At that point in my life I was lucky to get everything done that needed to get done so I did not have a great deal of free time. Now my children have grown and I have extra time. I found during the years that they were growing up I neglected my house and garden, Read more….

The blinking light letting us know that it is there and ready to operate is something that she truly cannot stand. Now that she’s three years old, she knows what the purpose of the smoke alarm really is. She still is cautious around it but at least she also knows that it is there to keep us safe. That makes her a bit calmer about it, Read more…
